SAT II Math IIC and Chemistry (800 on each).

Honors

Inductee, National Gallery for America's Young Inventors 2008
One of six students inducted by the National Museum of Education in 2008, for my tissue engineering research. Please see description of induction and depiction of invention for more information.

USA Today All-USA High School Academic First Team 2006
One of 20 high school seniors in the US recognized as a member of the First Team. Please see description and USA Today Issue (pdf file below).

Presidential Scholar 2006 and National Merit Scholar 2006
One of 141 US students recognized at White House for outstanding academic achievement. See profile. A Chinese book about Presidential Scholars was published and features two chapters on my background and research (English translation: "Better than going to Harvard: The Presidential Scholars - I have a Birds Eye View of the World.") A picture of the book cover is below (see middle right of the cover).

Second Place Grand Award, Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2004, 2005, & 2006 
Awarded second place in Medicine and Health three years in a row (Portland, Phoenix, and Indianapolis). This was for the tissue engineering, stem cell, and plant biotechnology projects, respectively.
 
Regional Finalist, Siemens Westinghouse Science Competition 2005-2006 (Southern Region)
One of 60 projects out of 1600 selected to compete for a spot at the national finals. This was for the stem cell research project.

American Academy of Neurology, Neuroscience Research Prize 2006
Awarded to four high school students around the nation for excellent contributions to neuroscience research (QTLs that Modulate Neocortical Volume). Expense-paid trip to present research at the 58th Annual Meeting of the AAN in San Diego, CA (April 1-8, 2006). Press release.

Dr. Nelson Ying Science Competition Grand Award Winner 2004, 2005, & 2006
